Irony
- Alex
Somebody call Alanis.
I'll tell you what - this makes me sick.
A kid does a project for his high school class, illustrating how great our Bill of Rights is (and it is great). He illustrates the right to dissent, and
does it tamely. No slander, no death threats, nothing really all that bad, just a picture of the Prez and his own personal thumbs down. I mean c'mon, the
kid isn't Commodus here, it's just a thumbs down.
So he goes to get the thing printed at WalMart, and they turn him in to the local police, who turn him in to the Secret Service!
Now you'd expect the secret service might hassle someone if they told the vice president in broad daylight to go [bleep] himself... but a kid from Carolina
doing a tame project for high school? No child left uninterrogated, I guess.
I agree with the teacher. It's ridiculous.
