Ode to October

October is probably the best month of the year.
There is something about taking a walk with the leaves falling off the trees and swirling about
me that makes me feel warm inside. It is the season of football and baseball's most magical time
(regardless of the Vikings and Twins standings).
It is the beginning of the Holiday season (first Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then
Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa), although people at work started putting Halloween stuff up two weeks
ago, and Costco is already displaying all of their Christmas wares as well.
But none of that negativity today... today is all about Autumn, and October. The month of
bonfires, trick or treating, comfort foods, sweatshirts, colors, sports, and cool nights.
