It's getting late and I'm not filled with inspiration today so we'll keep it simple: my goal is to annoy you.
How? By getting old songs firmly lodged in your head. You'll find yourself singing them because you know them, because you've heard them hundreds of times, and you'll be mad because, truly, these songs are bad.
My methodology: Billboard's top songs for the month of August for selected years since 1985.
1986 "Higher Love" - Steve Winwood
1987 "Shakedown" - Bob Seger
1989 "Right Here Waiting" - Richard Marx
1990 "(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection" - Nelson
1991 "Everything I Do, I Do It For You" - Bryan Adams
1996 "Macarena" - Los Del Rio
