"The paper writes 'we would never have imagined that one day they would come here -- and here they are!!'"
I think that, based on the above statement, the President should seriously consider redeploying troops to Cuba. There's clearly something awful going on down there, and the only solution I can think of is napalm-based. Can't you just picture Fidel Castro wearing his Air Supply t-shirt and singing along with "Lost in Love," knowing all the words? Thousands of Cuban citizens, hoping, pleading, praying that Russell and Graham come out for one more encore?
Granted, not a lot of bands include Havana on their tour schedule, so the excitement might be somewhat justified. And, I'd bet the newspaper is run by the state's Communist party-- not the best neutral arbiter. But, "[Air Supply] are idols for thousands of Cubans"? Does anyone really feel this way and, if so, can we get them some serious help? Soon? This is the same group that covered Celine Dion's "Power of Love," and switched the lyrics to "You are my lady / And I am your man."
Really.
I just wonder what will happen if Matchbox 20 ever shows up.
