Leave it to me to take a day off and have it end up being my Gambit day.
Of course, you may be asking, why would a guy take off a random lone day in the middle of the week? The answer of course being that the fiscal year
starts July 1, and I have vacation to burn. It's surprisingly nice to break up the week with a day off, though. Scratch that - it's just nice not going
to work no matter what day of the week it is.
You may also be asking why Alex took an unannounced week off from Gambit writing. The answer to that is: alcohol poisoning. More on that when wadE gets
things in gear.
The business end of today's Gambit concerns baseball. You've all watched "Field of Dreams", right? Well, it's the 100th anniversary of Moonlight
Graham's one day in the bigs. There's a nice little article about it
here. That's the cool thing about baseball... guy might not have even touched the ball, but a whole lot of people know his name.
