2005 NBA Draft
- wadE
Does anyone actually care about the 2005 draft? ... besides the Sports Guy that is...
If you are a T-wolves fan, do you actually care this year since we have a mid-level first
round pick (#14); or do you not care because this team is much further from being a serious contender
than even a number one overall pick could bring?
I personally don't care enough to check out all the mock drafts, but the rumor mill has the
Wolves taking Sean May or Andrew Bynum.
Bynum is probably the better pick out of those two... the Kandi-man experiment ended last season
on more of an up-note, but is still a disaster at best. Having a big athletic young man to take
(and hopefully dish) some punishment is one of the many things the T-wolves could use.
Other potential picks for the wolves are Antoine Wright (lord knows we need a replacement for Latrell,
I mean seriously... the guy had two dunks last year... that's right... 2!). One other site I saw
had Hakim Warrick going to the Wolves... yeah, like we need a KG clone who doesn't have good shooting
skills.
The moral of the story is that no matter who the Wolves pick, it doesn't matter. Free agency
(and the health of KG) will determine where the Wolves end up this next year.
My prediction: expect the T-Wolves to fight for 8th place in the West, and actually make the
playoffs as a 7 seed.
