Shuffle Off
- Alex
Would you believe that I've owned an iPod shuffle since late February, and yet this past Sunday was the first time I'd taken the damn thing jogging?
Well, it's true. And I'm kicking myself over that fact.
As previously documented, I have a bit of a problem with a short attention span while
running. We've got a nice workout room in the apartment building (for which my wallet is extremely grateful - Northwest AC is expensive), but so the treadmill
makes it hard for me to stay focused. I had resorted to changing speeds every tenth of a mile just to keep from going nuts.
No longer.
I'm honestly surprised what a difference it makes to actually have my own music to pay attention to. All of a sudden it's been a mile and a half, and trust me,
that'd never happened before.
I'd always considered working out to be a chore. But now... well, it's still a chore. It's just slightly more pleasurable. Thanks, iPod!
