Filibuster Follies

Saints be praised! The filibuster is saved... for now.... </ominous music>
So... here's
what happened...
The gist of it, is that no one is really happy. Some of the conservative nominees will get
approved as soon as today, pissing off the far left. Frist still has his panties in a bunch, "Frist indicated
that 'bad faith and bad behavior' would force him to bring back the filibuster debate."
The only celebrant is Harry Reid, who seems to be hallucinating: "Euphoric and relieved, Reid said a message had been sent
that 'abuse of power will not be tolerated, and attempts to trample the Constitution and grab
absolute control are over.'" Did he not hear what Frist said?
We'll be talking about this soon enough. As soon as there is an opening on the Supreme Court, look
for the Filibuster Follies to make a triumphant comeback.
In the meantime we'll watch Harry Reid bask in his "victory".
