Hail to the Chimp
- Alex
Well, baboon, actually. But who's counting?
News wires state that scientists have discovered a new species of monkey in Africa.
In fact, that BBC article I linked shows links to three other new monkey discoveries in the last three years.
But before I get too far in, let me back up a step. What are the odds that someone who could potentially pronounce his last name "butt-in-ski" would discover
something new? Just a thought.
Anyway, I don't mean to start a full-fledged creationist/darwinist debate... but wasn't there a new species of bird discovered recently? And these new monkies.
Doesn't that sort of make a case for evolution? You'd think we (meaning humanity) would have explored most of the globe by now, and found what there was to find.
Again, just a thought for a Friday, a day when my brain doesn't normally stimulate to this degree.
And finally, relating to wadE's gambit yesterday, let's play a game. What jumps out at you in this
picture? Heh heh.
Ok I'm out. Happy weekending to all.
