The Big 3-0

Today is my 30th birthday.
Hold on, give me a moment to let that sink in.... 3....0....
I'm not sure what 30 is supposed to feel like, but whatever it is, I don't feel that way.
I feel good. I certainly don't feel "old", although as little as a few years ago I thought 30
was old. "Her boyfriend is 30? Why is she dating an older guy?"
At what age to you start to actually feel old? I'm sure it's different for everyone. I'm hoping
I don't feel that way until at least 60. Although some days I feel like I'm 60 already.
But today isn't one of them. I woke up this morning as refreshed and awake as I've been in months;
and for grumpy morning wadE, that's really saying something.
Life is pretty darn good. Scratch that... Life Is Good. I've got a job I actually like. I'm
soon to move into a beautiful new house. I'm married to the most fascinating person I've ever met.
And I'm the proud owner of the strangest little dog I've ever met.
I've also got some great friends, and I hope to see most of them tonight...
And to top it off, my good friend at work baked me a chocolate-chocolate cake, which I'm about
to go eat.
Yup... Life is good...
