D-Day
- wadE
Today is the last day.
Today is the last day for smokers to light up in bars and restaurants in much of the western
metro here in the Twin Cities.
Tomorrow is a day I've been waiting to see for years now.
Tomorrow is a day I thought would never come to this state.
Tomorrow is a day where I will go out to my local watering hole and support them by spending
my hard earned money (ok, maybe not that hard earned) in a smoke-free invironment.
Tomorrow is a day where I will go home and not have to immediate throw my jacket, my jeans, my shirt
and everything else right into the wash.
Tomorrow is a day where I won't smell smoke as I try to go to bed at night.
The day after tomorrow is a day where I won't have to wash my pillowcase because it smells like smoke.
The day after tomorrow is a day where I won't wake up with a headache... at least due to smoke. :-)
I've got no sympathy for the smokers. Many of us regulars here on SP grew up with parents who
smoke(d), and have breathing difficulties that more than likely are linked to them.
Thoughts? Direct them here.
