SOLD!
- Wade
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, our house is off the market after four whirlwind days. Sara and I are fairly excited... I don't think we anticipated the amount of work and stress that would go into selling a house. For the past month we've both put in our share of time washing, painting, fixing, scrubbing... but that's over now. At least, we hope it's over. Similar to most purchase agreements, this one is contingent based on our house passing an inspection, but we're not too worried. Our place is 60+ years old, but it's still in decent shape.
And, while we're relieved that it's officially sold and that we're now able to move to a place we'll be happy at for the next few decades... I think it's fair to say that it's a little sad to be leaving. We've enjoyed living there, had several fun New Years' and Fourth of July parties there, raising Sophie there. But we've also experienced noise pollution from passing jets, near-death experiences at the uncontrolled intersection at our corner, and less-than-cooperative neighbors. So I think it's a good time for a change.
So keep an eye out for a "Goodbye Richfield" party in early April. All we ask is that you don't spill any red wine on the carpet. (And I'm looking right at you, Chelle, when I'm saying that.)
