Minneapolis...hell, Minnesota has always been a football state... or at least since 1961.

The Twins have brought two championships. Our first basketball team brought several championships, our second has the reigning NBA MVP who is entering his prime years. Our hockey team(s)... well, I guess the University's hockey team has been more rewarding over the years, and at least aren't on strike/locked-out.

But even with 4 disappointing Super Bowl losses, and a number of NFC Championship losses, the Vikings remain the focus of Minnesota sports.

After yesterday's embarrassing loss to the Bears...maybe the state should re-think that. Are we on a collision course with another final regular season loss that keeps the Vikings out of the playoffs...but this time at the hands of our most hated rival?

Who cares... even if the Vikings run the table and finish 11-5, how much chance does they stand against a team like Philly? Especially with that painful defense. Sure, the defensive line is starting to come together, but even with a respectable job by them, how do you make up for a linebacking corps that is either too green, or too old... followed by a one man gang in the defensive backfield (Winfield)? After Winfield went out yesterday, we found out how you make up for it... you put in Derek Ross to be roasted by Chad Hutchinson. Yes, you read that right... Chad Hutchinson.

The good news is that the rest of the NFC is just awful enough that Philly is the only contender that stands in the way for any other NFC team to reach the Super Bowl.

On the off chance the Vikings go on a run and make it that far...would it be worth it to lose another Super Bowl?

So...let's go T-wolves! Love the KG...he's fannnnn-tastic!
