[Editor's note: This is Alex - wadE emailed me today's gambit. I am going to be extremely lazy and paste it in as pre-formatted text.]

"Mawwiage. Mawwiage is what bwings us togethaw today. Mawwiage, that
bwessed awwangement, that dweam within a dweam..."

This gambit is coming to you long distance from Lon-gIsland New York.
I'm out here for the wedding of one of my sister-in-laws, who you SP
forum people might know as chickon.

The best moment of the trip so far was yesterday when we went out to
eastern Long Island to find some autumnal decorations for the wedding
(pumpkins, haystacks, corn stalks, and the like). We stopped off at a
farm... yes, they have farms out here! The soil is very sandy, but
they can grow potatoes and pumpkins... anyway, the farm has this giant
play area for kids with a few animals for petting (llamas, a cow,
couple of piglets, etc.) and some giant wooden farm equipment for kids
to pose and climb on.

So while we wondering around picking out pumpkins I notice that there
is a preschool class that must be on a field trip with their mommies
(although there were a couple stay at home dads in the group too).

"Antonio, Victoria, Dominick! Go ov-ah to da haybales for a pictcha!"
"Gino, you look so cute today!"

I just love the stay at home moms out here who think they are J-Lo.
They wear color coordinated leather or suede outfits. Got the giant
tinted sunglasses on. Big heels, hair all done up. Top that off with
the accents, and it makes for a ridiculous scene.

Of course if any of them came to MN to a similar place, they'd probably
double over in laughter as well.

"Sven, Lina! Vy doncha come over to da haybales dere for a picture,
eh?" "Ohhhhh geez Ole, doncha look soooo cute today!"

Although to be fair, the names in the NY version were the actual names
of the kids.

At any rate, raise a glass on Saturday for Chickon! I know I will be
raising several!
