No Senator Ditka

How incredibly sad. There will not be a Senator Ditka.
Ok...take a moment Chicago. Breathe. You'll live on.
After Jack Ryan (not Harrison Ford/Alec Baldwin) dropped out of the race after
his divorce records revealed that he took his wife (the uber-hot Jeri Ryan) to several sex clubs to watch
other people have sex, and to be watched... but really, who HASN'T done that... am I right
people! Um... hello?
In the absence of a strong candidate, the IL Republicans found themselves scrambing.
Apparently no one wants to run as a Republican in the state. As the website,
DraftDitka.com (yes, you read
that right) states:
Republicans are all but written off in Illinois. Currently, the Chicago Democrats control the Governor's Mansion, as well as sit in the positions of Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Comptroller, Speaker of the House, and Senate President.
It appears, that another Chicago Democrat, Barack Obama, will join the ranks of fellow Chicago Democrats in power this fall, when he picks up a seat in the United States Senate. Our other U.S. Senator, Dick Durbin, is also a Democrat.
So check out that site... even though Da' Coach ain't runnin'... it's still great

E.g. So...Why Coach Ditka to lead the ILGOP now? Because we need him. It's that simple. Coach would lend some much needed mainstream credibility to a rising party.
Only in Illinois could Mike Ditka lend credibility to anything.
