Back in the saddle again...

Ahhhh... it's good to be back. Thank you patient readers for not rioting during
our extended absence. :-D
Soooo... what's in the news... oh, John Kerry has picked John Edwards as his running
mate in the presidential election. Not a big surprise, I had been predicting that for
months now. It's the classic "northern candidate needs southern candidate to work the
south for votes" move. And besides, I'd rather have John Edwards as our president than
Kerry, but really I'd prefer the animatronic corpse of Reagan back in office compared to W.
In other news I find my liberal sensibilities slowly rotting away...when I read the
headline of an article that says,
"Hmong refugees need jobs, agencies say",
and I think to myself..."Hey, don't we have a few Minnesotans who need jobs first?"
Wow...I might be turning Republican!
And officially my favorite story of the day,
"Fight over parking space at mall ends in stabbing".
I'm sure the first thing you think is that it's young punks who talk about "needin' respect", but
no, the suspects in custody are in their fifties!!!
Good times...it harkens back to the parody of the old MOA jingle: "There's a place to run for your
life... Mall Of America!!!"
Hope you had a safe and fun holiday weekend!
