If you haven't heard, there is a new computer virus out there.

This makes sense since I had two message in my yahoo bulk folder, both with attachments. One was from an old friend, from an email address that hasn't been valid for over a year. When I replied, sure enough, my reply bounced back at me. How strange that an account that doesn't exist sends me an email. The other email was from serg(at)aas.no. If you check out www.aas.no, you'll see there isn't much there.

One message had a zip file, the other had a .scr file. When I tried to scan the attachments, yahoo said it's virus scanner was temporarily unavailable. That's when I got curious. Sure enough...new virus.

Maybe I've been lucky enough to work for big companies that spend a lot of money to protect themselves, or maybe I am just more computer savvy than the average person and have taken care to protect my computer with good antivirus software, but none of these viruses (sp?) have ever affected me.

Outside of IT geeks or the companies that get targeted by viruses, do you care? Have you been hit hard by a virus? Go to out contact page and tell me your story.
