Oops...
Pardon for the late gambit. I spent much of Friday at the Mall of America. Weekday afternoons are
the only time I can stand to shop there you see.
Over the past 3 years I honestly could not understand how we were in a recession when I would attempt
to go to the MOA and could even find a parking space.
But I digress...
Quick review of my shopping experience.
Petters: great place to go for super cheap stuff. They basically but up merchandise of stores that
go bankrupt. I got a great set of winter gloves (3M Thinsulate) for 3 bucks. One piece of advice though,
do NOT buy anything edible there. I checked the giant bottles of cranberry juice for an expiration
date...and was surprised to see that it was 01/03/04...only a couple weeks ago... usually it's several
months past date.
Lids: if you want zero help finding a hat... go to Lids.
The crazy Packers cheese store: I forget the name...it's like Lybicki or something. At any rate,
great free samples, and it has all of the Packer gear you could possibly need...but I don't hold
that against them...yummy free cheese.
GAP: pretty standard...
Stampede Steakhouse (in Camp Snoopy): Food, above average..especially appetizers and burger... prime
rib...have had better. Servers are nice, service leaves a lot to be desired...all of them were under 21,
easily.
Driving home... take 77 north to 62... 494 is a bitch.
:-)
