Happy New Year!!!

A very happy new year to all!
The beginning of the year is a traditional time to make resolution on improving one's self, so let me tell
you about my new year's resolutions.
I usually don't make any since I belive it makes more sense to continually strive to improve one's self as
opposed to waiting until the beginning of a new year, but hey, if January 1st is what motivates some people...
any improvement is better than none.
First I'm going to make an effort to keep up relationships with my friends and family. There are some of them
I feel I've neglected and I need to extend myself beyond the occassional email. If you aren't on email, I'm not
the best in keeping contact. Of course this is a two way street, some of these people haven't exactly gone out of
their way either. But hey, someone's gotta try.
Continue to work out. Now that my employer actually expects me to show up at work during the weeks, my 3-4 day
a week gym habit has shrunk to 1-2. Although I might put this off until February... going to the gym this last
weekend sucked. Fighting to get a machine with all the other new year resolution people just makes me cranky.
Write more. This ties in to my first resolution, but mostly I'm talking about SP.com. With a very strong
December, we pushed past the 50,000 page mark for 2003 with 50,335 pages served up. As long as all three of us
remain gainfully employed, we will continue to keep simpleprop ad free... but with numbers like those, it's
awfully tempting!
Read more. And maybe do a few more book reviews for the website.
Get a new job. More on this hopefully within the next month or so.
Remember what's really important. That means when my favorite sports teams lose, don't let it ruin my
day/week/month/year. Thankfully I got a jumpstart on this when I was in NY for the holidays and didn't see a
single bit of the final Vikings game...which by all accounts was the worst lost in the history of the franchise.
Although I would argue that there are 8 other losses that are worse (superbowls and NFC championships).
That also means focus on people, not my job, not material things... just enjoy life to its fullest.
...oh, and play more playstation 2!
;-)
