MC "Macho Man" Randy Savage
- wadE
Earlier this week I was listen to KFAN (local sports talk radio station) and the
"Superstar" Mike Morris was interviewing The "Macho Man" Randy Savage who these days is
just about as famous for his Slim Jim commercials as he is for his wrestling
career ("Ohh Yeahhhh!")
Then the Superstar said something that nearly made me throw up in my mouth, "So tell
me about your new rap CD."
Was he serious?
Sadly, yes...
On October 7th, 2003, "Be A Man" was released as the first album by The Macho Man
Randy Savage.
Unable to type anything coherent, here is where I steal a snippet from another website:
'Highlights on the album include the head noddin' rock influenced "RU Ready?" and the
infectious "Let's Get It On." DJ Kool, who was heard on Redman's 2001 club hit, "Let's Get
Dirty (I Can't Get in Da Club)," makes a special appearance on "Hit the Floor." On the
title-track, "Be A Man," Savage challenges fellow professional wrestler & archrival Hulk
Hogan to a highly anticipated rematch. Fans can only hope that Hogan is up to the fight.
The album concludes with a tribute to the late wrestling great Curt "Mr.Perfect" Hennig
entitled "My Perfect Friend."'
According to the interview I heard on the radio, Randy is challenging Hulk Hogan because
of some disparaging comments Hogan made about Macho Man's family. He actually wants to
challenging Hogan to the first ever "real" pro wrestling match ever. Basically, I think
he just wants to kick Hogan's ass.
Unfortunately I missed him performing here, but he is performing tonight and tomorrow
night in New Orleans. So for all of you SP readers in the Big Easy, get out and support
the Macho Man!
Ohhhhh Yeahhhhhh!
