Strib Personals

My favorite newspaper website, www.startribune.com, recently
started making people log in when accessing articles. I wasn't very happy about this, but they explained
how they need my info for marketing purposes so they can better sell adverstising which in turn allows them
to continue to run the site for free.
While it is an annoyance, what annoys me more is the recent appearance of the "Personal Of The Day" on the
right side of the main page. The last thing I want/need is a head shot of someone staring at me declaring
how great they are.
For example:
If I could be anywhere at the moment:
"I'd be in NYC working on another degree."
Favorite on-screen sex scene:
"There was a hot moment or two in Unfaithful. But I saw it with my mom so I pretended not to notice."
Why you should get to know me:
"I'm an opinionated, bookish, intense workaholic who talks a lot."
If I could be anywhere at the moment:
"I'd be in Cameroon, or Mali, or Colombia. The common thread is incredible MUSIC! Love music!"
I don't care! Get off my damn newspaper! Worst off, none of these people are even from Minneapolis!
Bah!
