One of the coolest sites I've ever found is the Internet Archive. Without wanting to dive too deep into technical mumbo-jumbo, the Internet Archive keeps cached versions of numerous web pages dating back to 1996. Wanna see what espn.com looked like on your 24th birthday? Easy enough. (And yes, I know, there are only a few people in the world that get geeked up about stuff like this. But I'm one of them.)
So, for kicks, here are some things I found on the Internet Archive today:
What espn.com looked like on my 24th birthday.
Well, close to my 24th birthday. I think the old news headlines are great-- Robert Brooks unretires to play with the Broncos. Yeah, that went well. Rico Brogna hits a grand slam to lift the Red Sox over the Devil Rays. Oh-- one of the cooler things is that a majority of the hyperlinks on any given page are active and linked to pages from that same date. Stark's rumblings & grumblings from three years ago. Woo hoo!
