Excessive Bitterness
- wadE
You'll have to pardon the lateness of today's Gambit. It's late due to excessive bitterness from my job. But enough
about that...they have spies...so I shouldn't complain in such a public forum... so...
Yes, I love my job. My bosses are very...ummm, smart, and conscientious. They really think about the needs of their
employees...and stuff.
Anyway, the only thing I feel like commenting on today is that Time Warner Cable (who is my one and only choice for
cable...yeah, good job getting rid of those cable monopolies!!!) finally struck a deal with Fox Sports Net. While I
hate pretty much all of Fox Sports programming, they do carry all of the local non-NFL games. They'll have 105 Twins
games this year, and if/when the T-wolves and Wild get into the playoffs, they'll have those games too!
On the down side, I will miss ESPNNews. What a fabulous channel...whoever gave the go-ahead to allow the scrolling
ticker at the bottom of the screen continue during commercials should win an Emmy!
But let's focus on the good news... the Feb/Mar drought of terrible sports is nearly over. NBC's pathetic attempt to
humor the masses with arena football just hasn't cut it. Why don't they put Spring Training games on? That would
probably get better ratings.
Regardless...it's spring time... time to...
Play Ball!
