Slapdash Gambitry
- Alex
Ok, so let's say you're a game, but sometimes outmatched writer for a website for which you receive zero compensation other than a sense
of satisfaction at writing something your friends tell you they enjoy reading. And let's further postulate that you've spent all your energy
for an evening writing a feature article, and then you realize that you're due up
in the Gambit queue for the next morning. What do you do?
Easy. You panic.
But hey, this is no problem, I've done plenty of stuff like this before. They're called "mutterings" columns. Just talk about enough
little things, and before you know it, you've got something of decent length, if shallow substance. So here we go: First off, you can
find the video for In a World Called Catastrophe, the song quoted in the above feature column, by clicking
here. It's really quite a fantastic song. If you like those Dave Matthews Band ballads,
you'll like this song. I guarantee it.
My kid sis emailed and demanded that I put in the other birthday picture that she sent me, claiming that it doesn't get any cuter than
the two of us as kids making idiotic faces. Personally, I have to disagree, but when you're hurting for content you'll put in any piece
of crap that you can. Just check out wadE's article from yesterday, for example. Hee hee... here ya go:
Finally, I think I'll just let Dwidge say it best. He got an email from a computer database with an interesting idea
of just what a good deal is. Enjoy!
Hey guys,
You all have got to come with me to "none found", I can get us
this sweet offer ... read this e-mail I got from Hotwire! It's
so awesome!
