Schmall-Star
- Alex
So Mike Jordan (hey, it worked for Vick) got to start in the all-star game last night. So what? All I've been seeing for days in the
online headlines is how Vince Carter should give up his starting spot in the game for Jordan. Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson reportedly
both offered their spots to Jordan, and he turned them down. So the media chose to criticize Carter because he only played 15 games and got
voted in by the fans. It's all just completely ridiculous. How far has Jordan fallen that he didn't get voted to start instead of a guy
who's faced more questions about his heart than George H.W. Bush did when Quayle could've run the universe?
I'm sick of the Jordan hype. It was his last game in Chicago. It's his last all-star game start. You know what? It was all that
crap the last time he retired, too. He came back to a bad team to sell more tickets, and maybe just play the game he loves. Maybe.
Can't we just let it be at that? Why does there have to be all this "last time Jordan eats a pre-game pickle in the bowels of the Comcast
Center" business, too? If the Wizards were going to the playoffs, we'd have something... some old Jordan magic. As it is, just let the dude
play his way out in peace. Let's talk about more entertaining things in the NBA.
Wait... you're right. I can't think of any either. Say, what's Mike doing after the game?
